About this tool

How to use this estimate correctly

Severance Pay Calculator was designed to estimate severance pay using general clt and notice rules.

The output becomes more useful when you start with realistic dates, explicit assumptions, and consistent units in every field.

Before making a decision

Treat the result as a structured estimate, not as an automatic replacement for legal, accounting, medical, or contractual review.

For critical decisions, compare the output with official rules or another trusted source.

Frequently asked questions

Is 'expired vacation' filled in days or periods?

Use full periods. Each period equals 30 vacation days. Example: 1 means one full expired vacation period.

Why are there two totals: without FGTS and with FGTS?

Without FGTS shows severance items paid in the settlement. With FGTS adds estimated FGTS withdrawal and legal penalty when applicable.

Why is notice pay shown in only one line now?

To avoid double interpretation. The calculator now shows either indemnified notice, worked notice, or notice discount depending on your selection.

Is this severance simulation final?

No. It is an estimate based on general CLT rules. Collective agreements, payroll events, and legal deductions can change final values.
